Red Shed Malting is unique in that they have a malt roaster. With the malt roaster, by applying different temperatures for different amounts of time a wide variety of flavours and colors can be achieved. These flavours can range from sweet breakfast cereal to the roastiness of fresh coffee.

The chocolate malt used in this beer provides a rich dark colour, roasty aroma, and hints of chocolate flavour.
